The LIDILE research center of Rennes 2 is pleased to host Professor Nelver Eduardo Vera Mostacero as part of the Chair of the Americas program. Nelver, a full professor at the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo in Peru, is joining us from January 15 to February 12 for collaborative work with Professor Christine Evain.
Professor Vera brings over two decades of expertise in foreign language education, gained through his extensive work in both public and private institutions. At the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, he is actively engaged in teaching Applied Research in Languages and other undergraduate courses related to his specialization. Beyond teaching, Nelver is deeply involved in academic mentorship, serving as an advisor and jury member for undergraduate and master’s theses, and contributing to the thesis committee of the Department of Languages and Linguistics. His participation in scientific research conferences further underscores his dedication to advancing language education and applied research.
Currently, Professor Vera is spearheading an innovative sociocultural project, “Green Webindow 2030: Multicultural Immersion for Sustainable Education and Community Improvement,” which aligns with the goals of the Virtual Societal Challenge (VSC) initiative. This project leverages challenge-based learning and Vygotsky’s socio-historical and cultural theory to connect communities with their heritage and native languages, fostering inclusion, environmental stewardship, and harmonious coexistence.
We are delighted to have Professor Vera with us and look forward to the contributions he will make during his time at Rennes 2.
